Luii Frii
Coming soon
Luii Frii is a discreet take-anywhere toilet that makes everyday life easier for older people and people with low dexterity or mobility. Use it seated or standing, wherever and whenever you need to go. You won’t need to get up or move to the bathroom, if you find those things difficult. And the light, easy-grip handle is great if you find it hard to use your hands. The disposable bag rapidly turns pee into a solid, scentless gel, and can hold up to three wees. So, when you’re done, put it aside for your next loo break or simply pop it in the bin.
With Frii by your side, you can get on with life knowing a toilet’s always within arm’s reach. No leaks. No worries. Just simple, life-changing Luii.

Kraft board collar and EN13432 certified Home Compostable film made from cornstarch, bio-based PLA and fossil-based PBAT. Phthalate and bisphenol-A free.
Storage bag:
Neoprene.

Sodium polyacrylate, with bittering agent (melon extract), antibacterial and odour neutraliser.

Unisex design
Both men and women can use Luii Frii. We’ve taken extra care to design it so women can pee comfortably while seated.
Easy-grip handle
The ergonomically shaped handle is comfortable and easy to hold, either
independently or with help from a carer.
Easy-seal aperture
Leaks? Not with Luii Frii.
The frame forms a leakproof seal when held lightly against the body, keeping
you perfectly dry.
Easy-clip bag attachment
The patented bag attachment is Frii’s standout feature. Clip the bag on with just one hand. 95% of people in Frii’s clinical trial found the bag easy to attach, including those with ataxia and amputations.
Super-strong bag
The disposable, home-compostable bag holds up to 750ml and is leakproof, even when dropped.
Fast-acting superabsorbent
The superabsorbent turns wee into a solid, odour-free gel in under a minute. It also contains an antibacterial for hygiene, and a bittering agent to prevent anyone eating it.
Each sachet can soak up 750ml, so you can use it two or three times before popping
the bag in the bin.
Sustainable design
We’ve used reusable, recyclable, recycled and compostable materials everywhere we can. Once we’ve found a bio-based, compostable superabsorbent Luii Frii will be
completely circular.

FAQs
Can I use Frii sitting down?
Yes. We designed Frii so it can be used comfortably by both women and men while sitting near the edge of a seat. That includes chairs, beds, wheelchairs, mobility scooters, carseats—even sofas and armchairs. If you have limited strength or mobility, you might need a bit of help to stay steady and avoid leaning too far forward while using Frii.
Can I use Frii lying down?
No, Frii isn’t designed to be used lying down.
Can Frii be used standing?
Yes, and also when crouching or kneeling.
Is Frii easy to use?
For most people, even with dexterity and mobility issues, yes. We worked closely with occupational therapists and ergonomics experts to make Frii easy to use for people with limited hand movement or mobility. When you need to pee, you can hold the handle in various ways, using just a light grip. To attach the bag, you need to hold it between your forefinger and thumb and pinch it inwards by about 1cm. (Or, if you prefer, ask a carer to set Frii up for you in advance). To use Frii on your own, you’ll also need to be able to stand safely, or sit near the edge of your seat - so some people may need a bit of support from a carer.
We recommend practising at home in the shower or sitting on a toilet seat or the edge of the bath to find the most comfortable position for you. It can sometimes take a few goes to get used to the idea of peeing this way, instead of on a toilet.
Can I use Frii if I have poor dexterity?
Frii was specifically designed for people with dexterity and mobility challenges. It’s been used successfully by people with severe arthritis and post-stroke ataxia, and by those with missing fingers and thumbs. If you’re unsure if Frii is right for you, just get in touch.
We’ll always give honest advice about whether a Luii product is right for you.
Can I use Frii if I am blind?
Yes. The bag attachment is designed to be foolproof, even if you’re blind or with poor vision.
Do I need to undress to use it?
Not completely. Frii is designed to be used without fully undressing. You can tuck it inside the waistband of a skirt, move your underwear to the side, and position the frame comfortably. If you're wearing tights, you'll need to pull them down a bit.
If you're standing, trousers need to be undone and lowered slightly. If you're sitting, pull them down far enough to place the frame—but there's no need to take them off entirely. For extra privacy, you can cover your lap with a blanket or anything else that feels comfortable.
Will I get wet?
No, not if you follow the instructions.
Practise using it in the shower, or sitting on the edge of the bath or toilet, to get it right.
Most people get the hang of it the first time, and almost everyone within two or three goes.
How easy is it to create a leakproof seal?
Far easier than you might think. Just hold the handle and press the frame gently against the pubic area to make a leakproof seal.
Does Frii need cleaning after use?
Unlike urine bottles, there’s nothing to empty with Luii Frii. The frame may need to wiped clean after use. It can also be washed in warm, soapy water or in the washing machine or dishwasher at up to 55°C.
How long will the frame last?
The frame is designed to last 3 years, if looked after properly. It can be recycled at the end of its life too.
Is the storage bag waterproof?
The storage bag is water resistant.
How should Luii Frii be stored?
The frame and bags should be stored in the dry.
Is Frii available on prescription for people with continence issues?
Not yet, but we’re working on it.
Bags and superabsorbents
How strong are the bags?
The bags won’t split, burst, puncture or leak if dropped from 1 metre onto a hard surface – even when full.
Can the bag be reused?
Yes. The superabsorbent inside the bag can soak up 750ml of fluid, which is typically 2 or 3 wees. So, if you wish, just put Luii Frii to one side for your next loo break.
Does the bag stand up when it’s been used?
Yes, once the gel has turned solid the bag will sit on both flat and uneven surfaces.
Will the contents of the bag be visible?
No, the bags are a solid colour to hide the contents.
Do the bags smell?
No, they contain an odour neutraliser. They also have an antibacterial for hygiene and a bittering agent for safety.
How safe is the absorbent in the bag?
It’s safe to pee on – but it’s not safe to eat. It’s glued inside the bag for safety, and if it did come loose, we’ve added a bittering agent to it, which will taste horrible if anyone tries to eat it.
How long will the bags last after use?
In tests at room temperature, the bags haven’t leaked for six months after use. They are, though, certified under ISO EN 13432 to biodegrade in 6 months under industrial
composting conditions.
Are the used bags heavy?
They weigh 200g-250g if used for a typical wee, and about 750g, if used to capacity.
Which waste bin should used bags be put in?
For now, used bags should be put in your general waste bin. Although the bag is compostable, the superabsorbent (SAP) in the bag isn’t yet. Within two years it should be. Then you’ll be able to put used bags in your green bin – depending on your local waste arrangements.
Can used bags be put in public litter bins?
In general, yes, but check local regulations for any exceptions. If a bin accepts nappies, you can typically put Luii bags in it too.
If I leave the used bag on the ground will it decompose naturally?
Used bags should never be left anywhere as litter. They should only be placed in your general waste bin or public litter bins.
How can I get more bags?
You’ll be able to order bags online or by scanning the QR code on each bag. They will be available in packs of 60, 180 and 360, and on subscription.
