Our Story
Phew! That’s Luii in a nutshell. We’re making it safe and easy for anybody to have a wee anywhere they go – so nobody is ever left red-faced, cross-legged or caught short. And with more ultra-reliable products in the pipeline, our story’s only just beginning.
Who’s behind Luii?
Luii is the brainchild of Keith Binding and Sarah Leather. Keith has spent over two decades in the life sciences and environmental sectors, while Sarah’s a seasoned designer. When Keith’s mother, Joan, was ill, he saw first-hand how difficult, undignified and upsetting it could be to try and use handheld toilets and incontinence products. Plus, the toll it took on the health of Tony, his father and her principal carer, was huge. That’s why we created Luii: a collection of truly effective and sustainable come-with-you loos that let people of all abilities pee safely, easily and with dignity.

So what’s the problem?
All of us pee. But we can’t always make it to a toilet. Perhaps we’re out on an adventure, or stuck in traffic, or simply can’t find or get to a bathroom. Maybe we have reduced mobility or dexterity, or need to pee more often than some. We created Luii so that whoever, whenever, and wherever you are, you can go. No fuss, no leaks, no mess, no worries.
Designed to be different
Luii’s portable toilets don’t look like existing travel toilets or urinating devices. That’s no accident. We work with multi-award-winning product designers, clinicians, and brilliant user groups to create effective, easy-to-use products that look great too. Something you’ll be happy to pop on your shelf or carry around in your bag, and even happier to pee in.
Our aim
Sustainable design is integral to our work at Luii, and our little loos are already far better for the planet than other travel toilets, incontinence pads and pants. But that’s not enough for us. We intend to make every last bit completely recyclable, reusable or compostable. In a word: circular. And we’re well on our way.
